Poetry Slam

A poetry slam is the poets' competition of our time and turns poetry into an experience. At the same time, a poetry slam is also a platform for everyone—you just have to dare to take part. The audience is right in the middle of the action instead of just watching, and their applause determines the outcome of the competition. Anyone who writes poems, stories, or rap lyrics can register using this form and then take to the stage alongside the stars of the scene from Germany and abroad. Shouting, whispering, howling, gasping, whistling, rapping—all of this is allowed in order to compete against each other. The weapons: poetry, voice, and body. There is nothing to fear, as respect for the slammers is at the heart of poetry slams.
